What would cause beeping in a 1998 buick regal?

Working on a viper 5901 hooked up the xk06 bypass and it was fine. Doesnt remote start but locka unlocks. When testing for the parking light wire at the switch with a fluke brand voltimeter it started binging when the door was opened. Same sound as if lights left on or the key left in
