Is the Regal Gran Sport Buick 1993 a safe car?

i just got into a car crash a couple weeks ago and im about to start driving ( im 15 about to be 16 soon) and this is going to be my car. mainly im scared to start driving because of the crash. im pretty sure it doesn't have air bags? if i got into a crash could having no air bags be the difference between life and death?even if they have their seat belt on? im just scared and a little nervous and im trying to convince my parents to get me a safer car, but you know money is tight. thank you :)
